What a Week!

Yep, what a seven day period of time. It sure went by. Wow. Talk to you guys next week!
JK, but also not really, this week was pretty uneventful, so this is a short email.
We had a lesson with Andrew about commandments, so that was good. He basically committed himself to doing better on some of them. We also rescheduled his baptism for August 15th. Hopefully he'll be ready, we honestly just need him to come to church. He's been so receptive to everything else. So if y'all could pray for him to come, that would be great
In disc golf news, I finally got a 17! Which isn't necessarily great, but an 18 means I Bogey (get a score one more than par) every hole. That's what I've been trying to get for like a month now, so I'm happy!
Anywho, that's kinda it. Trying to find people to teach. Calling soooooo many people. Stalking people's Facebooks. Normal missionary stuff this week we have Zone Conference, so I'll let you know how that goes!
Spiritual thought! Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explained that God provides us with challenges that are designed to help us grow spiritually: “Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more (see Proverbs 3:11–12). He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain” (in Conference Report, Oct. 1995, 18; or Ensign, Nov. 1995, 16–17). Yay trials!
Have a good week!
Elder Jonathan Barrus
