Two months!!!??!???!!!!??

Kind of a short email today, but today marks two months since I left the Salt Lake Airport, which is more than a little crazy to think about. Good thing I love it here in Comodoro :)

(Also side note, in the new mission manual it says we can't email about our investigators without their permission, sooooo guess I'm getting permission this week x)

Also this week I strengthened my testimony of fasting. One of the hermanas in our district suggested that we do a fast in our district and with the bishopric Tuesday night to Wednesday lunch. The fast was that we could hasten the missionary work in this area because it has slowed down a lot. And so we fasted and were praying like crazy. Then, we ended our fast and went out to go look for people in our old investigators list. And I am not kidding you, we only knocked on about five or six doors that day because everyone answered and everyone wanted to talk to us, which never happens. We also got two new investigators, which is honestly crazy in our area. So if you need anything, fast, and the Lord will help you out in whatever way he can.

That's kinda it for this week, no people with baptisimal dates but we're close! I appreciate all of your emails and prayers, keep them up please!

Love you guys! Church is true, otherwise sending a bunch of 18 and 19 year olds to spread the message of the gospel wouldn't work x)

Mom note: I asked Jonathan a few questions on our chat and here's what he said:

They shop at a little red store near their apartment for fruit and eggs. Other than that, they go to the Argentine Walmart called La Anonima in Comodoro for groceries, which is about 35-45 minutes by bus.

The supermarket in Comodoro Rivadavia. It's like Walmart.
They also go to Comodoro to use the cyber cafe to write emails and try to call us. We still haven't had a successful video call, but today I could see him and hear him sometimes, but not both at the same time and he could see me the whole time, but couldn't hear me. We finally resorted to chatting on Google Hangouts again. It was good to see him for a minute anyway. He looks good and happy!

He wishes he could adopt some of the nicer dogs down there. There are a LOT of strays. But he doesn't feel like he needs a dog deterrent because if you just pick up a rock they run away. So that's good. And he hasn't seen any stray cats, they're all domesticated.

He said he wears the short sleeve shirts he brought and they're usually fine, except sometimes when the wind blows, it's cold. (It's summer down there.)

The food is good. He really likes the milanesa sandwiches with milanesa, tomatoes, lettuce, and a fried egg. The pizza is kind of weird, not a lot of sauce and a lot of cheese and they put a lot of fried eggs on them. But he likes everything he's had so far.

Milanesa is a filet of meat which is breaded and fried.
Everyone has a gate in front of their house, so they clap outside of the gate instead of ringing a doorbell or knocking on a door.
