So Elder Peterson and I got to come to Centro four times this week- once for P day, twice for tramites (which is like visa paperword) on Tuesday and Wednesday, and once for my first Zone Conference on Friday. Needless to say, this week absolutely flew by because we were on the Colectivo (minibus) like every day. Still, it was a great week and a lot of good things happened!

Zone Conference for three zones-- Caleta Olivia y Comodoro Rivadavia Norte y Sur |
First off we didn't get to visit with Maite this week because her family was on vacation this week, so that was too bad. But we're going to visit her this week and see where we're at with her.
We also had a really good lesson with one of our investigators, Rodrigo. His wife and daughter are both members, but he never joined for whatever reason. Since he's been on vacation the last month we thought it might be good to go through all the lessons again to see where he's at. So we started with the Restoration, and it went really well! He seems really receptive to everything, so we invited him to read the Book of Mormon and pray about our message. He said he would, so we're going to visit this week and see how he feels about everything.
The highlight of this week was our lesson with Juan and Rosa. Last week we were teaching them about the Law of Tithing, and they were absolutely sure they would not be able to pay it. But this week, we went and just talked to them about their concerns, and we were prompted to open up 1 Nephi 3:7, which I think we all know. But then I asked if we could read the story of how Nephi got the brass plates. So we read through it, and we pointed out in chapter 4 verse 6: '' And I was aled by the Spirit, not bknowing beforehand the things which I should do.'' And I was prompted to invite them to pay tithing just one time and see the blessings that God would pour on their heads. Rosa said that she would try it, and we were so overjoyed because we knew that the Lord would bless her for her effort and her faith. It might be a couple weeks before she eventually pays, but I will definitely keep you guys updated on what happens!
And then as a last cool experience, we were walking in the street when this one guy stopped us and said ''What are you guys doing? Preaching?" And we replied that we were, sharing our message about Jesus Christ. And he asked for a Book of Mormon and for us to write our names in it, and then said his name was Carmelo. So we're going to visit Carmelo this week and see what comes of it! It was a little like our situation with Jorge last week (no, we didn't get to visit Jorge this week), except Carmelo wasn't drunk. So that's good!
For a spiritual thought, I want all of you guys to go to the temple this week. The ward here in Comodoro is preparing to go to the temple in June. The nearest temple is in Buenos Aires, which takes a full 20 hours of driving to get there. But these faithful members of the Church have been preparing and saving so they could attend the temple. I know that so many of you guys have a temple not five minutes away, so think of how hard it would be if your nearest temple was a full day of driving away. I know that the temple is the House of God, and as we go and try to seek the blessings that will come from being in the that holy building, our whole week we will be edified and uplifted.
That's about it! Love you guys! Talk to you all next week!
